Dayan and Laura chose to celebrate their nuptials at Manhattan’s City Hall. The Manhattan marriage bureau is located at 141 Worth Street. The best options for arriving are either via Uber/private car or by subway. If taking the subway, the closest stops are Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall on the 4/5/6 and Chambers St on the J.
It was a wonderful experience to share with them their special day. After the pandemic, It is necessary to make an appointment in order to get married. Only one witness is required. In this case they hired me and they asked me to be their witness which I accepted very happy.
We spent approximately an hour, they got their license and then we waited for the officiant. Meanwhile, I took advantage of a nice window where the curtains were open.
One of the marriage officiants with the marriage bureau performed their ceremony. Unfortunately, they couldn't take off the mask in her presence but anyways the ceremony was beautiful and sweet.
Your experience at City Hall is what you make of it. Thank you Laura and Dayan for letting me be part of it!
